Balliol College was founded in 1263 and is one of the 38 constituent colleges of the University of Oxford. Former students include Harold Macmillan, Edward Heath, King Harald V of Norway, Adam Smith and Aldous Huxley.

Balliol College is on Broad Street across the road from Boswell & Co. at the northern end of the city centre.
The entry fee for visitors is £3, £1 for students. A map and guide is included in your admission charge.
It is one of the few colleges in Oxford where the public are able to dine in the Buttery, which is open in the afternoon with alcohol available at lunch and dinner times.
Like other colleges at Oxford, Balliol College is occasionally closed to the public for university events.
