Best Western Sheffield

The Best Western Sheffield offers mid-range accommodation close to the heart of Sheffield’s city centre. This hotel is a practical choice for business and leisure travellers, with straightforward facilities and a central location.

While it lacks the charm of many other hotels, the Best Western Sheffield provides functional amenities within a contemporary design. Its central location makes it a convenient base for exploring Sheffield’s cultural and commercial hubs.

The hotel’s rooms offer a mix of standard and superior options. Each room includes a flatscreen TV, a work desk, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and en suite bathroom facilities. Rooms range in size from 22m² (237 sq ft) to 25m² (269 sq ft) and are generally clean and well-maintained, although the decor might feel dated compared to newer hotels.

The hotel has several wheelchair-accessible rooms, with additional features such as wider doorways and adapted bathrooms. While the accommodation is functional, some guests may find the furnishings and finishes show signs of wear.

The Best Western Sheffield also includes a small on-site restaurant and bar. The restaurant serves a mix of classic British dishes and lighter fare, offering a practical option for evening dining.

The bar provides a relaxed setting for drinks, with a basic selection of beer, wine and spirits. However, the hotel lacks leisure facilities such as a gym, spa or swimming pool. Public areas are functional rather than luxurious, suiting those seeking practicality over indulgence.

The hotel is in Sheffield’s Riverside Exchange neighbourhood, a commercial district close to the city centre. The area combines offices and residential buildings, giving it a mixed-use feel. Although not a tourist hotspot, it is conveniently situated for accessing nearby attractions and transport links.

Although the location on the northeastern fringe of the city centre may not feel all that central, you’re only around a five-minute walk to the city centre and most points of interest are no more than a 5–20-minute walk from the hotel.
