The hotel’s 157 guest rooms all have comfortable beds, a flatscreen television, a work desk, ironing facilities, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom. However, the bathroom has a shower over a bath rather than a proper walk-in shower.

Rooms are split between double and twin rooms plus family rooms with bunk beds for the kids. The children’s area of the family rooms has a more child-friendly decor as well as a Playstation console for the lower bunk bed while the double and twin rooms have a more grown-up decor more in-line with a regular hotel.

Standard double and twin rooms are 21m² (226 sq ft), deluxe double rooms are 26m² (280 sq ft), family rooms are 26–29m² (280–312 sq ft) and the park-view suite is a spacious 50m² (538 sq ft).

The hotel’s Blues Bar & Brasserie has a more sophisticated menu than you would expect for a restaurant in a family-friendly hotel, although there is also a kid’s menu so everyone is catered for here.

The hotel is right next to Pleasure Beach Resort and there is even a private entrance to the park for hotel guests, although this entrance is only open for the first 90 minutes that the park is open and you’ll need to use the main entrance, 800m (½ mile) away, if you’re entering the park later in the day.

With the exception of nearby Pleasure Beach, the immediate vicinity around the hotel is not the nicest neighbourhood. However, it’s convenient if you’re in Blackpool to visit Pleasure Beach and Ripley’s Believe it or Not! and Sandcastle Waterpark are both less than a 10-minute walk from here.

The hotel is just a three-minute walk from Blackpool Pleasure Beach railway station and Burlington Road West tram stop is also a three-minute walk away, making it easy to travel to other areas of Blackpool.
