Boulevard Hotel, also known as BLVD Hotel, is one of the best places to stay in Blackpool. It is at the southern end of the Promenade next to Pleasure Beach. The hotel is operated by Pleasure Beach Resort and has its own private entrance to the amusement park and there are sometimes deals available that include park entry.
The hotel’s 120 air-conditioned guest rooms all have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, a small fridge, tea-and-coffee-making facilities, ironing facilities, a safe and en suite bathroom facilities, although you have to step into a bathtub to take a shower.
Executive rooms, which are what they call their standard rooms, are 22m² (236 sq ft) and Executive Double rooms, which feature walk-in wardrobes, are a spacious 28m² (301 sq ft).
If you want even more room, you could stay in one of the hotel’s suites, which offer a larger living space. These range from 39m² (420 sq ft) to 44m² (473 sq ft).
The hotel has a big lobby area with a lounge bar and the Beachside Restaurant, which feels classier than most of Blackpool’s other dining options.
Guests also have access to the hotel’s fitness centre.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
BLVD Hotel is clean and well maintained and it simply looks so much nicer than most other hotels in Blackpool.
It is right next to Pleasure Beach Resort and there is even a private entrance to the park for hotel guests, which it shares with the Big Blue Hotel next door. However, this entrance is only open for the first 90 minutes that the park is open and you’ll need to use the main entrance, 800m (½ mile) away, if you’re entering the park later in the day.The immediate vicinity around the hotel is not the nicest neighbourhood. However, it’s a convenient location if you’re in Blackpool to visit Pleasure Beach, and Ripley’s Believe it or Not! and Sandcastle Waterpark are both less than a 10-minute walk from here.
The hotel is just a four-minute walk from Blackpool Pleasure Beach railway station and Burlington Road West tram stop is only a two-minute walk away, making it easy to travel to other areas of Blackpool.
Parking is available but it costs £10 per night.
