Campanile Liverpool-Queens Dock is a budget hotel close to Albert Dock that offers a good value accommodation option within easy access to the city centre.
The 101 compact hotel rooms are basic and include a flatscreen television and tea-and-coffee-making facilities plus en-suite bathrooms. Several of the rooms are wheelchair-accessible.
There is also an on-site restaurant, which doesn’t look that special, although reports from other guests say that the food is much better than you would expect. Perhaps that is a sign of the hotel’s French management that puts a priority on quality food even in a budget hotel. The hotel restaurant accounts for a large portion of Campanile’s business and in France, where 85% of Campanile hotels are located, 60% of customers do not sleep at the hotel and go there just for the food.
Liverpool’s Campanile hotel is on Queen’s Dock, around a 10-minute walk south of the Albert Dock area where you can find the Beatles Story, the Maritime Museum and the Wheel of Liverpool. It’s also just a five-minute walk from the Baltic Triangle neighbourhood and a 15-minute walk into the city centre.
It is a cheap place to stay that is more or less identical to other hotels in the Campanile chain. The decor is spartan and it certainly isn’t anything special, but it does the job if you need a cheap place to stay in Liverpool.
