Bristol’s Clayton Hotel is a modern hotel inside the former Everard’s Printing Works building with a convenient location within easy reach of most points of interest in the city centre.
The entrance to the hotel is through the former Everard’s Printing Works, a Grade II* listed building that was built in 1900 and features an Art Nouveau-influenced design that celebrates the contributions of William Morris and Johannes Gutenberg to printing and literature.
Although it is a unique building, it is only a facade as most of the building was demolished in 1970 and as a consequence the hotel has a modern and functional interior.
Clayton Hotel Bristol City has 255 air-conditioned rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a flatscreen TV, a work desk, ironing facilities, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom.
Outside your room, the hotel’s amenities include Everard’s Bar & Restaurant, which is a nice spot for a meal and something to drink and there is also a quiet spot in the lobby area that is a good spot to sit and get some work done.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel is at the northern end of Bristol’s Old City, just a short five-minute walk to the heart of the city’s main shopping district and the Georgian-era Queen Square is not much farther in the other direction.
Nearby points of interest include Castle Park and St Nicholas Markets, both less than a two-minute walk away. Many of the main waterfront attractions (including Arnolfini, Bristol Aquarium, the Matthew of Bristol, M Shed and We The Curious) are between a 10 and a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
