Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre

The Crowne Plaza Liverpool City Centre is a modern chain hotel that is popular with business travellers. It is a good safe accommodation option that is located at the edge of the city centre on Princes Dock and it is close to Liverpool’s waterfront and most points of interest in the city are within walking distance.

The hotel’s 159 air-conditioned guest rooms all have comfortable beds, a flat-screen television, a work desk, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Nine of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.

There is a restaurant and a bar on the ground floor with breakfast and dinner served in the restaurant and lunch and dinner served in the less formal lounge bar.

The hotel also has a business centre with copying, scanning and printing facilities and seven meeting rooms (the largest can hold up to 500 people). There is also a fitness centre with an 18m (59 ft) indoor swimming pool, which is open 5.30am–10pm daily.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet is available throughout the hotel.

It is a modern five-storey building with a contemporary-style decor. Although the hotel may feel a little bland, it is nicer than many other chain hotels in the city and most guests seem to enjoy staying here.

The hotel is located on a busy street and it backs onto Princes Dock and is just a short walk north of the Three Graces on the Liverpool waterfront. The location on the edge of the city centre means that some areas, such as the waterfront, are very close by but other areas, such as the area around Lime Street station, are farther away. However, most areas of central Liverpool are no more than a 20-minute walk from the hotel.

The closest attractions to the hotel include the Royal Liver Building, the British Music Experience, the Pier Head ferry terminal, the Museum of Liverpool, the Western Approaches Museum, the Cavern Club and the Magical Beatles Museum, which are all within a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The attractions around Albert Dock are around a 15-minute walk and the cluster of attractions near Lime Street railway station are around a 20-minute walk away.

Car parking is available for £14 per day.
