The easyHotel Sheffield offers budget accommodation in a central location, suitable for short stays or travellers on a tight budget.
The rooms are compact, although there are a few rooms that are bigger than you would expect for an easyHotel. All rooms have a double bed, a television and an en-suite bathroom. However, there’s no room for a desk and there’s no wardrobe, just a couple of coat hangers stuck to the wall.
The cheaper rooms don’t have any windows, which some people may not like. However, this means that the rooms are quieter and darker (when you switch off the lights) meaning that you can get a great night’s sleep.
The rooms do not have tea and coffee making facilities, but there is a coffee machine down the corridor (£1 for a cup of coffee).
It is very clean and has a bright modern decor, although not everyone is a fan of the bright easyJet orange.
The easyHotel brand is owned by easyJet and it is run on much the same lines as a budget airline. Rooms are priced according to the same yield management pricing strategy where rooms are very cheap if you book well in advance but more expensive if you leave things to the last minute. Also like budget airlines, a lot of those little extras that would normally be free at other hotels come at an additional charge. Want to check in early? That will cost an extra £10. Want to check out late? That will cost an extra £10. Want to leave your bags at the hotel until it’s time to check in? That will cost you a fiver. Want an extra pillow? That will be two quid. Want a room with a window? That will cost an extra £5.

The hotel is in the heart of Sheffield’s city centre and most points of interest in Sheffield are no more than a 10–20-minute walk from the hotel.
The tram line runs right past the hotel with two tram stops located only a one-minute walk to either side of the hotel and there is a busy bus stop on Arundel Gate, just south of the hotel. Sheffield railway station is a 10-minute walk away.
It’s next door to the National Videogame Museum, Sheffield Cathedral is a five-minute walk away and the Peace Gardens, Graves Art Gallery, Millennium Gallery, the National Emergency Services Museum and the Winter Garden are all within a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
