What to see at the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art
The core of the museum’s collection consists of works by Italian futurist Mario Sironi that were purchased by the American writer Eric Estorick while on his honeymoon in 1947. The museum also features artworks by Umberto Boccioni, Carlo Carrà, Merardo Rosso, Luigi Russolo, Gino Severini and Ardengo Soffici.
Temporary exhibitions at the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art
In addition to its permanent collection, the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art also hosts a programme of temporary exhibitions. Current and planned exhibitions include:
Ketty La Rocca: You You
Ketty La Rocca (1938–1976) worked across drawing, photography, sculpture, poetry and performance during her short career. Her work explores gender, communication and the impact of advertising. This exhibition (until 21 December 2025), organised with the artist’s heirs, is the first UK museum show dedicated to her practice. It presents a selection of pieces that examine how language and image shape perception and social roles, using both humour and critique to explore everyday experience.
