The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is a pedestrian and cycle bridge that links Baltic Square, Gateshead with Newcastle Quayside. It is unique in that it can tilt to form an archway allowing ships to sail underneath. It tilts every day at noon with additional tilts scheduled to allow ships to pass.
