The go2 Portishead Marina Hotel (formerly the ibis budget Portishead Marina and before that Travelodge Portishead) is a modern budget hotel close to Portishead’s marina and town centre.
This hotel was formerly a Travelodge hotel (before becoming an ibis budget) so the rooms have the look and feel of what you would find in a Travelodge and some of the public areas are similar to what you would find in an ibis budget hotel.
The room are a mix of double, twin and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds (except for twin rooms, which have twin single beds), a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower. Three of the rooms are wheelchair-accessible.

The hotel is in Portishead’s town centre just a short walk from the marina. Portishead is a pleasant town by the seaside in North Somerset and its town centre is split between a traditional shopping street lined with buildings made with Bath stone, a soulless retail park and a modern marina development with modern blocks of flats and a waterfront promenade.
Portishead is within commuting distance of Bristol and if you’re visiting by car you can get into Bristol in around 20 minutes but it takes at least twice as long if you’re travelling by bus.
At this stage Portishead is not the most convenient location for anyone visiting Bristol, however, work is currently underway to reopen the Portishead branch rail line, which will shorten the travel time considerably. The new rail line is expected to open in 2028 and there is a proposal to build the new railway station right behind the hotel.
Until the train line has been reopened, the easiest way to get into Bristol by public transport is by bus route X3a, which takes approximately 40 minutes with an hourly service.
Free on-site car parking is available.
