Hampton by Hilton Sheffield

The hotel features 142 air-conditioned rooms spread over seven floors. Each room has a work desk, a flat-screen TV, ironing facilities, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a proper shower, which is a nice change from having to step into a bathtub to take a shower. The decor is modern, and rooms are clean and well-maintained.

The hotel also has several wheelchair accessible rooms.

Guests have access to a fitness centre, and a buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. Breakfast is served in the hotel’s restaurant, which is also open for dinner.

Sheffield’s Hampton by Hilton hotel is at the northern end of the city centre, near the National Emergency Services Museum. It’s not the most charming neighbourhood but it is conveniently located and most points of interest in the city centre are no more than a 20-minute walk from here.

The location at the northern end of the city centre means that it is only around a 10-minute walk to Kelham Island Museum and it is close to other points of interest in central Sheffield including Graves Art Gallery, Millennium Gallery and the Winter Garden, which are all around a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

The closest tram stops – City Hall and Cathedral – are a five-minute walk from the hotel and it is around an 18-minute walk to the railway station.
