The Harte and Garter Hotel is a grand four-star hotel in the town centre that has castle views from many of its spacious rooms.
The 98-room hotel is in a building that dates from the 14th century and it features period features including marble fireplaces and dark wood furnishing. Neighbouring Goswell House has 19 of the hotel’s guest bedrooms and guests staying in this annexe have full access to the hotel facilities in the main building.
Hotel rooms all include comfortable beds, a small work desk, flat-screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms. Some of the rooms have brilliant views of Windsor Castle.
Due to the historic nature of the building, there are no lifts at this hotel.
The Tower Bar and Brasserie is the hotel restaurant, which has a focus on traditional British cuisine and is noted for its afternoon tea.
Other hotel amenities include six meeting rooms and the Stables Spa with four treatment rooms, which is housed in the former stables.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The Harte and Garter Hotel is centrally located on the High Street right in the centre of Windsor. It is right across the road from Windsor Castle and it is a three-minute walk to Windsor and Eton Central railway station and a six-minute walk to Windsor and Eton Riverside station.
