It is a modern brick building with 92 guest rooms set over three floors. All rooms have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen TV, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Some of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.

The Great Room is the bar and lounge near the hotel’s reception area where the Express Start buffet breakfast, which is included in your room rate, is served every morning. You can also enjoy lunch and dinner at the hotel’s bar/restaurant.

There is free wired internet access in all rooms, but Wi-Fi wireless internet access is only free for IHG Rewards members. It is free to join the IHG loyalty programme and free Wi-Fi is available to all members, even those on the entry-level tier.

The hotel has an uninspiring location in an office park on the outskirts of Taunton. Apart from a Harvester pub/restaurant, there is not a lot of interest in the immediate vicinity around the hotel. However, there is a retail park around a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel has plenty of free parking available and the location near junction 25 of the M5 motorway means that it is best suited if you’re driving.
