The Holiday Inn Salisbury Stonehenge is a modern four-storey hotel in a service area off the A303 (Amesbury Bypass).
The 103 hotel rooms all feature comfortable beds, a flat-screen television, a work desk, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms. Some wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available.
The hotel also has a 24-hour lounge area with an outdoor terrace as well as an on-site restaurant. The restaurant, the Solstice Bar & Grill, has an international menu of mostly casual dining options and fixed-price lunch and dinner menus are also available.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The Holiday Inn is a modern four-storey building in Solstice Park, which is a development just off the A303 that also includes several restaurants such as the Amesbury Archer and a KFC, a McDonalds, a Pizza Hut and a Toby Carvery. However, the neighbourhood is not particularly walkable and it takes around half an hour to walk into the town centre.
The Activ8 bus route stops nearby on Solstice Park Avenue with buses into the town centre and there is another bus stop a little farther away (an eight-minute walk) that has buses to Salisbury. There is no direct access to Stonehenge by bus (the only direct bus route to Stonehenge departs from Salisbury) but you can drive from the hotel to Stonehenge in around 10 minutes.
It is a great accommodation option if you’re driving as it offers free parking and easy access to the A303 (Amesbury Bypass) road.
