The Hub by Premier Inn West Brompton hotel is a purpose-built modern budget hotel just a couple of doors down from West Brompton Overground station, around midway between Fulham and Earls Court.
Hub by Premier Inn is a slightly different concept to standard Premier Inn hotels. The rooms are smaller and there is a higher emphasis placed on technology and clever design to make the most of the smaller living space.
Guest rooms all have comfortable Hypnos beds with under-bed storage, a 40″ flatscreen smart TV, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a powerful shower and hairdryer. There are also some larger rooms, which cost a little more and have larger beds.
Breakfast and dinner are served at the hotel’s Lounge Cafe Bar, although there are also several very nice places to eat and drink right on your doorstep including a couple of nice pubs (the Lillie Langtry and the Prince), a pizza place, a Jamaican restaurant and a couple of good independent coffee shops.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
Although this hotel is not quite as centrally located as other Hub by Premier Inn hotels, it is an interesting area with good transport connections to other areas of London.
The hotel is on the edge of the nicer part of Earls Court (Lady Diana lived just a 10-minute walk from here before she became a princess) and it is also just a short walk from the more budget-friendly areas of West Kensington and Fulham. From here you can walk to most parts of Chelsea, Earls Court, Fulham and Kensington within 25 minutes.
Although it is only 600m from the Chelsea Football Club’s Stamford Bridge stadium, the layout of the local road network means that it is more than a 20-minute walk from the hotel.
It is only one minute away from West Brompton station, which is served by the Overground and the Wimbledon branch of the District line, and a six-minute walk to the Warwick Road entrance to Earls Court tube station.
From West Brompton, there are Overground trains every 15 minutes to Clapham Junction or Willesden Junction and tube trains running every five minutes to Wimbledon (17 minutes away) with half the northbound trains going to either Edgware Road (13 minutes away) or Tower Hill (25 minutes away).
Earls Court Tube station (on the District and Piccadilly lines) is only an extra five-minute walk away and from here you can get to South Kensington in four minutes, Kings Cross St Pancras in 20 minutes, Piccadilly Circus in 12 minutes and Westminster in 13 minutes. The Piccadilly line also serves as a direct link to Heathrow Airport with a journey time of around 35 minutes.
