The Hyatt Regency Manchester (formerly the Crowne Plaza Manchester Oxford Road) hotel is a new hotel in a 19-storey building close to the University of Manchester, south of the city centre.
The hotel’s guest rooms feature double-glazed floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable beds, a 43-inch television, a work desk, a laptop safe, minibar, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and an en-suite bathroom. Eleven of the rooms are wheelchair accessible. Many of the hotel rooms, especially north-facing rooms on higher floors, offer spectacular views of the city.
All rooms are air-conditioned and Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel has only been open since September 2018. As you would expect from a relatively new hotel everything is brand new and sparkling.
The hotel’s dining facilities include The Laureate restaurant which has an international menu and The Graduate Bar which serves beer, wine and cocktails along with a casual menu of burgers and pizzas.
The hotel also has a business centre and an on-site fitness centre, both of which are open 24 hours.
It is close to the University of Manchester and it is only a four-minute walk to the Manchester Museum and less than 15 minutes to The Whitworth and most areas of the city centre are within a 15–20-minute walk from the hotel. The closest railway station is Oxford Road (a 10-minute walk from the hotel) and Manchester Piccadilly railway station is less than a 20-minute walk away. Although it is not as centrally-located as most other Manchester hotels, many guests love the location, particularly that it is a quieter neighbourhood that more central hotels.
