The 122-room budget hotel has accommodation in basic rooms that have comfortable beds, a flat-screen television, a small work desk and an en suite bathroom. The hotel has double and twin rooms as well as triple rooms that are set up with a double bed with a single bunk above it. Some of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.

The ibis budget Sheffield Arena is on a major road near Sheffield Arena, around two-thirds of the way between Sheffield city centre and Meadowhall shopping centre.

It takes around 25 minutes to travel the 4.5km (2¾ miles) to Sheffield city centre via public transport with regular trams running from the Arena / Olympic Legacy Park tram stop, which is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. That 25-minute travel time includes the walk to the tram stop.

The hotel is in an area primarily known for its entertainment and leisure facilities. The neighbourhood has a modern, commercial vibe, with large venues and convenient amenities catering to visitors. Within a five-minute walk, you’ll find the Utilita Arena Sheffield, a major venue for concerts, sporting events and exhibitions. The hotel is also around a 10-minute walk to Valley Centertainment, a large retail and leisure park that has a range of chain restaurants, a cinema and a bowling alley.

Prices at this hotel can fluctuate a lot depending on whether there are any scheduled events at Sheffield Arena. It can cost a lot more than you would expect to pay at an ibis budget if there is a big event at the arena but it can also be a very good value accommodation option when there are no scheduled events at the arena.
