The King’s Arms is a listed Georgian building in the centre of Woodstock with a lovely pub downstairs and accommodation upstairs.
The rooms are of a decent size and come with comfortable beds, a desk, a flatscreen television, tea and coffee making facilities (including a Nespresso coffee machine) and en-suite bathrooms with a shower and Cole & Lewis toiletries.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in the rooms and the pub downstairs and breakfast is included in the price.
If you are a light sleeper, rooms facing Oxford Road (the A44) can sometimes suffer from traffic noise although rooms facing Market Street should be a little quieter.
The busy pub downstairs does great food and it is noted for its excellent Sunday lunch. The food here is a tad more expensive than a lot of other pubs although lunch here is a better deal than dinner.
It is in the town centre across the road from The Feathers Hotel. It is only a one-minute walk from the bus stop (for buses to Oxford and Chipping Norton) and a two-minute walk to the Oxfordshire Museum. It is a four-minute walk to the main gate of Blenheim Palace and a 12-minute walk to the actual palace.
