The Guildhall is one of Leicester’s most notable buildings. It was built around 1390 for a guild of prominent businessmen and by the end of the 14th century, it was used as Leicester’s town hall. Today it is a venue for performing arts and it also houses a museum with exhibits on the city’s history.
