The Liverpool Inn Hotel (formerly the Hallmark Inn Liverpool) is a good value hotel is a row of Georgian terraces near the university. Although not right in the heart of the city, it is only a 10-minute walk to the city centre and car parking is available for an additional fee.
It is a Georgian-era terrace with 81 hotel rooms. It is a Grade II-listed building and the rooms do vary quite a bit in terms of both size and layout. They range from basic single rooms to more spacious executive and superior double rooms. All rooms have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen television, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms.
The hotel is clean and well maintained but some guests find the decor, particularly in the cheaper rooms, a little dated.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel is in the Knowledge Quarter near the University of Liverpool and the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. It is also close to the Victoria Gallery and Museum, the Garstang Museum of Archaeology and the Philharmonic Dining Rooms, which are all around a five-minute walk from the hotel. It is around a 10-minute walk into the city centre, although Albert Dock and the Liverpool waterfront are around a 25-minute walk from the hotel.
It is a 12-minute walk from the hotel to Liverpool Lime Street railway station.
Secure on-site car parking is available for £10 per night, which is a bonus for a hotel this close to the city centre.
