Mallory Court

The Lutyens-style house was completed only in 1916 but it feels much more established with an ivy-covered exterior and traditional interiors resplendent with wood panelling. Some of the accommodation is inside the more modern Orchard House annexe, which also houses Mallory Court’s spa.

The hotel has 43 guest rooms in three different buildings. All rooms have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flatscreen television, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities including a Nespresso coffee machine, complimentary bottled water and fruit and en suite bathrooms with bathrobes and Espa toiletries.

Rooms vary quite a lot in size with compact classic and standard double rooms ranging from just 12m² (129 sq ft) to 16m² (172 sq ft), although superior deluxe and master rooms are considerably more spacious ranging from 31m² (333 sq ft) to 40m² (430 sq ft).

The rooms inside the older parts of the hotel have a traditional decor in keeping with the historic nature of the building while rooms inside Orchard House sport a more contemporary-style decor.

Several of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.

There are two in-house restaurants, the oak-panelled Dining Room and the more casual Brasserie. Both of these are a big step up from your average hotel restaurant.

The Dining Room is a fine dining three AA Rosette restaurant that draws on seasonal ingredients from the hotel’s own kitchen gardens and it is noted for its three-course Sunday lunch. The Dining Room is also a delightful spot to enjoy afternoon tea, although it is rather expensive.

The Brasserie on Harbury Lane is a more casual dining experience but with two AA Rosettes, it is still a step above the average hotel restaurant.

There are also several lounge areas on the ground floor that provide a nice environment to relax with a drink or to simply sit and read.

The spa facilities include a 10m- (33 ft)-long hydro pool, a sauna, a fitness centre, seven treatment rooms and a lovely terrace area.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

Although Leamington Spa’s two country house hotels offer a high standard of accommodation, Mallory Court offers a more upmarket accommodation experience when compared with Woodland Grange on the northern outskirts of town. The hotel goes beyond merely offering a clean and comfortable place to stay and sets out to create a special experience; however, this is reflected in its higher room rates.
