The Marlborough Arms Hotel is a 15th-century coaching inn in the centre of Woodstock.
The hotel has 13 guest bedrooms, one single and 12 double rooms. All rooms have comfortable beds, a desk, a flatscreen television, tea and coffee making facilities (with Nespresso coffee machines in some of the larger rooms) and en-suite bathrooms.
The historic nature of the building means that all rooms are somewhat unique and the furnishings are not to everyone’s taste although the rooms do have a lot of character and showcase the building’s period features.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
There is a sun-filled (at least during summer) dining room where breakfast is served and you can also sit outside in the lovely inner courtyard.
The hotel does not have its own restaurant but there are plenty of dining options nearby.
The Marlborough Arms is perfect if you’re travelling to Woodstock by bus as the town’s main bus stop is right outside the hotel. Both the Oxfordshire Museum and the main gate to Blenheim Palace are a three-minute walk from the hotel but it is a 12-minute walk to actually get to the palace.
The hotel has free on-site parking which is a big plus in a town with limited parking opportunities.
