Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village is a modern hotel around 1.6km (1 mile) east of the city centre, not far from the University of Liverpool.
The Novotel has 221 rooms over 16 floors. All rooms have comfortable beds, a flatscreen television, a small fridge, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom with Rituals toiletries and a nice big walk-in shower. The rooms also have a small table that you can work from; however, many of them don’t have a proper work desk.
The hotel’s Kensington bar and restaurant is a nice environment for a drink or a meal. Like many hotel restaurants, it has an international menu with a bit of everything but no real focus on a specific cuisine.
Guests also have access to a fitness centre.
This hotel offers a very high standard of accommodation and, because it is not as centrally located as most other hotels in Liverpool, it can often represent very good value for money.
The hotel is near the University of Liverpool, around 1.6km (1 mile) east of the city centre. Although it’s a nice-enough neighbourhood, the immediate area around the hotel doesn’t have a lot of atmosphere, which is surprising for an area around a major university.
There are a couple of nearby attractions including the Victoria Gallery and Museum and the Williamson Tunnels Heritage Centre, which are both less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
From here, it’s around a 20-minute walk from the city centre or a 10-minute bus ride.
