The Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens has an eclectic collection of exhibits depicting the history of Sunderland from its prehistoric past to the present day. There is also an art gallery with a focus on Victorian paintings and the works of LS Lowry and an impressive Winter Garden that is home to over 1500 plants.
