The Studley is a great base for exploring Harrogate. The Grade II listed building highlights the town’s rich heritage while also offering the modern conveniences of a high-end hotel.
Guest rooms include comfortable beds, a work desk or laptop-friendly workspace, a flat-screen television, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Rooms are clean and well maintained and the decor in the rooms is modern without detracting from the heritage nature of the historic building.
It is a relatively small boutique hotel without the extensive public areas found in larger hotels but it still manages to offer an in-house bar and restaurant.
The hotel’s restaurant, The Orchid, offers pan-Asian cuisine in a refurbished environment described as intimate and small-scale. Booking ahead is recommended.
The bar, O Bar, offers cocktails and a relaxed lounge atmosphere.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The Studley Hotel is near the centre of Harrogate, right across the road from the Mercer Art Gallery with the Royal Pump Room and Valley Gardens just a couple of minutes’ walk away.
The shops, restaurants and bars of the charming Montpellier Quarter are just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel and most other points of interest in central Harrogate can be reached within a 5–10-minute walk.
The bus and railway stations are around a 10-minute walk from the hotel, with regular buses and trains running to Leeds, York and Knaresborough.
