Travelodge Chatham Maritime is a modern budget hotel close to Chatham Historic Dockyard and the Dockside Outlet Centre.
All rooms at the Travelodge Chatham Maritime hotel are air-conditioned with comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.
The hotel has a cafe/bar where you can enjoy breakfast or a drink later in the day. However, its proximity to the Dockside Outlet Centre means that plenty of other places to eat and drink are nearby.
Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet are free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.
Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive to stay here during peak periods although in most cases this hotel is a cheaper alternative to more centrally-located hotels.
The hotel is around 2km (1¼ miles) north of the centre of Chatham, around midway between Chatham Historic Dockyard and the Dockside Outlet Centre. It is one of the nicer areas of Chatham but there is not a lot of interest in the immediate area around the hotel, although there are quite a few shops, restaurants, cafes and bars if you’re prepared to take a 5–10-minute walk from the hotel.
Although it’s a 15-minute walk from the main gate to the Chatham Historic Dockyard, another entrance at the northern end of the dockyard is only a four-minute walk from the hotel. Around a seven-minute walk in the other direction will take you to the Dockside Outlet Centre, which has a multiplex cinema complex plus several dining options including a couple of bars overlooking a marina.
