Travelodge Leeds Colton

Travelodge Leeds Colton is a good value place to stay near a retail park not far from junction 46 of the M1 motorway. Although it is 7.5km (4½ miles) from the city centre, bus connections are surprisingly good making the location more convenient than you may expect.

Rooms at the Travelodge Leeds Colton hotel are a mix of double and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds (plus additional pull-out beds in the family rooms), a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower. There are also some wheelchair-accessible double/twin rooms available.

The hotel is located near junction 46 of the M1 motorway (the Austhorpe Interchange), around 7.5km (4½ miles) west of Leeds’ city centre. It is not the most vibrant location but there are plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance, including several fast-food restaurants and a Harvester pub-style restaurant nearby and the Colton Retail Park is a 3–4-minute walk from the hotel.

There are several nearby bus stops with regular buses to the city centre. The closest stop is only a one-minute walk away on Stile Hill Way but there are more frequent bus services from a stop on Selby Road, around a five-minute walk from the hotel. The bus journey to the city centre takes around half an hour with buses departing from Selby Road every 5–10 minutes and from Stile Hill Way every half hour.

The hotel has free car parking, and this combined with easy access to the M1 makes it a great option if you’re driving.

There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
