The Travelodge London Wimbledon Central hotel is a new budget hotel in Bromley in London’s southeastern suburbs. It is a good-value place to stay less than half an hour from central London.
All rooms at the Travelodge London Wimbledon Central hotel have comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.
This hotel has been recently renovated with Travelodge’s new room design, which means that this hotel offers a superior standard of accommodation when compared with many other Travelodge hotels.

In addition to standard rooms, this hotel also has SuperRooms, which are a bit like a premium economy room aimed at business travellers that don’t have the budget for a traditional business hotel. These rooms cost more and are bigger with a larger desk, more power points, a better shower and a Lavazza coffee pod machine.

This hotel also has its own cafe/bar, which has a nicer atmosphere to the average Travelodge cafe. However, the central location means that there are also plenty of other places to eat and drink nearby.
Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3.50 for 24 hours.
Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods.

The hotel is in Wimbledon, a suburban centre 11km (7 miles) southwest of Central London, which is best known for the Wombles and the Wimbledon Championships. It is a pleasant area to stay in with a good choice of places to eat and drink.
The hotel is around a three-minute walk to Wimbledon tube and railway station, and from here you can get to South Kensington in 24 minutes and Westminster in 31 minutes.
For the most part, staying out in Wimbledon will save you money compared to hotels in Central London, except during the Wimbledon Championships, when prices will skyrocket. However, there are cheaper alternatives if you want to stay outside Central London to save money on accommodation.
There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
