The Travelodge London Wood Green hotel is a new budget hotel in Wood Green in north London. It is a good value hotel with frequent transport connections into central London.
This Travelodge is a nicer place to stay than other hotels in the Travelodge chain. It is also air-conditioned, a feature that you don’t find very often in other hotels in this price range.
Rooms at the Travelodge London Wood Green are a mix of double and family rooms. All rooms include comfortable king-size beds, a television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom with a shower.
There are also some wheelchair-accessible rooms available.
Unlike most other hotels, only your first 30 minutes of Wi-Fi wireless internet is free. If you need more internet you have to pay £3 for 24 hours.
Although this is a budget hotel, prices can fluctuate depending on demand and it can be more expensive staying here during peak periods although in most cases this hotel is a cheaper alternative to more centrally-located hotels.
The hotel is in Wood Green, a suburban centre in north London with a lot of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs in the immediate neighbourhood.
The hotel is a four-minute walk from Wood Green tube station, which is in zone three on the Piccadilly line. The journey time to Piccadilly Circus is 23 minutes with trains running every three minutes or so.
This hotel has free parking, which makes it a good option if you’re driving but don’t want to take your car into central London. Guests can park at the shopping centre car park free of charge as long as they use the validation machine at the hotel reception when they are ready to leave.
There are over 500 Travelodge hotels in the United Kingdom. Travelodges in Great Britain, Ireland and Spain are a separate business to the Travelodge hotels that operate in Canada and the USA (which are run by Wyndham) and the Travelodge hotel chain in Australia and New Zealand (which is part of TFE Hotels). Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
