The hotel is in a residential neighbourhood around 4.5km (2¾ miles) east of the city centre. Apart from an Esso service station nearby, there’s not a lot to see and do in the immediate vicinity around the hotel.

There are several bus routes connecting the hotel with the city centre. The fastest of these is route 71, which runs an express service that will get you into the city centre in under 15 minutes (including the walk to the bus stop), although more frequent services will take longer.

The hotel has plenty of parking, which costs £3 per 24-hour period.

Although all Travelodge hotels worldwide serve the same ‘quality budget’ end of the market, if you’re used to Travelodge hotels in Australia, New Zealand or North America their hotels in the UK may be a little different to what you are used to.
