It’s a fairly quiet suburban area with not much of interest, other than the shopping centre, although the lakefront location is very nice. The location on the edge of London (and the free parking) means that some people travelling by car may choose to stay here and take a train into central London. The hotel is around a 10-minute walk to Chafford Hundred Lakeside railway station and trains into London Fenchurch Street depart every half hour with a journey time of around 35 minutes.
