Whitley Hall Hotel

Whitley Hall dates back to the 16th century, with the main building originally constructed in 1584. Over the years, it has served as a private residence before being transformed into a hotel. The property retains many original features, including stone mullioned windows, wood panelling and antique fireplaces. Its heritage gives the hotel a sense of character, making it an appealing destination for those interested in history or period architecture. Whitley Hall is located in the rural Ecclesfield area, approximately 10km (6 miles) north of Sheffield city centre. The surrounding neighbourhood is semi-rural, offering a peaceful environment, although it also means that there is little to do in the immediate neighbourhood outside the hotel. However, the hotel grounds include gardens and walking paths, while nearby woodlands provide additional opportunities for outdoor exploration.

The semi-rural location, and free parking, means that this hotel is best suited if you’re driving. While you can get here by public transport, you’re looking at at least a 20-minute walk to the nearest bus stop.
