Southampton
Southampton is a modern city that few tourists make the effort to visit. It was bombed heavily during the Second World War destroying many of the older buildings; however, remnants of the medieval city remain.
Southampton is a major cruise port and many tourists that do visit the city arrive or depart by cruise ship. Many people also visit Southampton to catch ferries to Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
