Atrium Hotel Heathrow

The Atrium Hotel opened in June 2019. Initial reviews have been mixed with some guests raving about how nice and new it is (which you would expect from a relatively new hotel) but others commenting on a hotel that wasn’t ready to take its first guests with disorganised and untrained staff and unfinished facilities. We expect that these teething problems have since been resolved.

It is a large hotel with 581 guest bedrooms. All rooms feature comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen television, a fridge, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. Compared to other Heathrow hotels, the rooms are spacious with under-bed storage and a decent amount of wardrobe space.

The hotel has a cafe and bar that is open 24 hours, which is a great thing as there are not many other eating and drinking options in the immediate neighbourhood, although there is a local pub with outdoor seating (The Green Man) around a four-minute walk down Faggs Road.

Other facilities at the hotel include a laundry room, a gym, sauna, steam room and an indoor swimming pool.

While the majority of Heathrow Airport hotels are located along Bath Road with easy bus access to the airport, the Atrium Hotel makes the most of a different area that also has good transport connections to the airport. The Hatton Cross location is comprised mostly of airport-related businesses like freight forwarders and rental car companies and there are only a couple of hotels here (this one and a Hilton Garden Inn). While it is not the most attractive location, it is right across the road from Hatton Cross underground station which is only one stop from Terminals 2, 3 and 4 and two stops to Terminal 5. With the tube station across the road, it is possible to get to the airport in just five minutes.

The hotel has 120 underground car parking spaces. Parking costs £16 per day.
