The Best Western Princes Marine Hotel in Hove, west of central Brighton, may not look that attractive from the outside but it is surprisingly nice inside and it is one of the few hotels in the Brighton area to offer free parking.
The hotel has 59 guest bedrooms which have comfortable beds, a couple of tub chairs with a coffee table, a small work desk, a flatscreen television, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Some of the rooms have lovely sea views and other rooms have views of the South Downs.
The hotel has a restaurant (the Channel View) and bar (the Kingsway Bar), which have a better atmosphere and nicer food than you would expect.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The hotel is on Kingsway near the seaside in Hove. It is close to Hove Museum and Art Gallery (just a five-minute walk) and around a 10-minute walk to a local shopping street that has a good choice of places to eat and drink but it is at least a half-hour walk from the centre of Brighton. The 700 Coastliner bus stops outside the hotel and goes into the city centre every 10 minutes.
Free parking is available which is a real bonus in Brighton where parking can be very expensive (with some places charging £30 per night). However, some guests comment that parking spaces are a little tight and there aren’t enough parking spots for the number of rooms in the hotel.
