Chester is well connected by rail with services to destinations in northern Wales including Llandudno and Holyhead.
There are hourly trains to Shrewsbury with half of these continuing to either Birmingham International or Cardiff. Virgin Trains operate hourly services to London Euston via Crewe, Stafford and Birmingham. There are a couple of trains per hour to Manchester and Chester lies at the southern extremity of Liverpool’s Merseytravel suburban rail network with trains every 15 minutes to Liverpool.
