Folkestone Museum is a local history museum that has exhibits and artefacts that tell the story of Folkestone from its earliest history to the present day.
Although the origins of the museum date from the 1850s, the old museum closed in 2007 and the current Folkestone Museum has only been running since 2017.

The museum’s permanent collection covers a wide range of topics, from the town’s history to its natural history. The museum also has a number of interactive exhibits, which make learning about the Folkestowne’s history fun and engaging.
The museum’s exhibits cover topics such as the town’s maritime history, its natural history and its role in both the First and Second World Wars.

The museum is located in the Town Hall on Guildhall Street in Folkestone.
Admission is free of charge and the museum is open Tuesday to Saturday (closed on Mondays and Sundays).
The museum is fully wheelchair accessible.
