The Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Airport hotel is an efficient, clean and well-maintained hotel near Hatton Cross tube station with frequent trains to all terminals at Heathrow.
It offers a high standard of accommodation (that is similar to a Doubletree by Hilton and perhaps a step up from a Holiday Inn Express). The Hatton Cross location is preferable to the Bath Road hotel strip but it is not as convenient as the cluster of hotels next to Terminal 4.
The 364-room hotel was formerly a Jurys Inn hotel that was last refurbished in 2014 when it was re-branded as a Hilton Garden Inn.
All hotel rooms are air-conditioned and come with comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat screen television, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and en suite bathrooms. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available.
There are a couple of restaurants and bars in the hotel, which is just as well as there is very little else in the immediate neighbourhood. These include the Garden Lounge with a casual dining menu with things like burgers, pizza and fish and chips and the Garden Grille, which has nicer meals and is open for breakfast and dinner. There is also a small Costa Coffee branch in the hotel’s reception area.
The hotel also has a small convenience store called the Pavilion Pantry, which is open 24-hours and sells drinks, light snacks, toiletries and travel accessories.
The hotel has a business centre that is open 24 hours where you can hop on a computer and print out your flight tickets and boarding passes.
There is also a fitness centre that is available to all guests plus self-serve laundry facilities.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.
While the majority of Heathrow Airport hotels are located along Bath Road with free bus access within the Heathrow Free Travel Zone, the Hilton Garden Inn sits (almost) alone at the southeastern corner of the airport. The Hatton Cross location is comprised mostly of airport-related businesses like freight forwarders, rental car companies, British Airways maintenance facilities and staff car parking for Heathrow Airport and there are only a couple of hotels here (this one and the Atrium Hotel). While it is not the most attractive location, it is just down the road from Hatton Cross underground station which is only one stop from Terminals 2, 3 and 4 and two stops to Terminal 5. With the tube station just down the road, it is possible to get to the airport in under 10 minutes.
