The Holiday Inn Express London Ealing is a relatively good value hotel within walking distance of West Ealing station, however, there are better-located hotels in Ealing.
This hotel is nicer than a lot of older Holiday Inn Express hotels, and when it opened in 2016 it was the chain’s first UK hotel to feature their new ‘next generation’ design.
The hotel has 80 guest rooms, which all have comfortable beds, a chair and table, a flat-screen smart TV, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Some of the double rooms are wheelchair accessible.
An Express Start buffet breakfast (included in your room rate) is served in the Express Cafe on the ground floor.
There is free wired internet access in all rooms, but Wi-Fi wireless internet access is only free for IHG Rewards members. It is free to join the IHG loyalty programme and free Wi-Fi is available to all members of the programme, even those on the entry-level tier.
The hotel is not quite as well-located as other Ealing hotels, although there is a good choice of places to eat and drink in the immediate neighbourhood and it is around an eight-minute walk from the hotel to West Ealing railway station.
West Ealing is served by GWR and Elizabeth line trains with four trains per hour to London Paddington and two trains per hour to Heathrow Airport. Trains from West Ealing to Heathrow only operate Monday to Friday and on Sundays, you need to either change trains at Hayes & Harlington or catch a bus to Ealing Broadway and take the train from there. The train journey to Paddington takes 12–17 minutes and it takes 16 minutes to get to Heathrow.
It is also possible to catch a bus from here into Ealing Broadway where there is a much greater number of transport connections including both tube and rail services.
