The Holiday Inn Express Warwick – Stratford-upon-Avon hotel is a reasonably priced accommodation option but its location near Junction 15 of the M40 means that it is best suited if you’re driving.
It is a modern hotel with 138 guest rooms. All rooms have comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen TV, ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Some of the double rooms are wheelchair accessible.
An Express Start buffet breakfast (included in your room rate) is served in the ground floor breakfast area. The hotel also features the Great Room lounge, which is a nice spot for drinks in the evening and pizza is available throughout the night.
There is free wired internet access in all rooms, but Wi-Fi wireless internet access is only free for IHG One Rewards members. It is free to join the IHG loyalty programme and free Wi-Fi is available to all members of the programme, even those on the entry-level tier.
The hotel is located on the southern edge of Warwick right next to Junction 15 of the M40 motorway. Although it’s not the most vibrant area, it is well connected to the road network if you’re driving and there is also a bus stop nearby with direct buses into Warwick’s town centre as well as to Coventry, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Despite being on the edge of Warwick, it only takes four minutes to drive into the town centre (although the bus takes 20 minutes); heading in the other direction, Stratford-upon-Avon is a 12-minute drive or 22 minutes by bus.
The hotel has its own car park but parking costs £3.50 per night.
