Despite being a modern building, the Hotel Indigo has more character than the average chain hotel and the hotel’s colourful decor highlights Liverpool’s connection to the cotton trade and features large pictures of spools of thread.

The hotel bar, the Cotton Lounge, has a nice ambience with comfortable leather chairs and exposed brick walls and you can enjoy your drinks and a bite to eat to the soundtrack of locally-inspired music including tunes by the Beatles.

In addition to the bar, which serves light meals, the hotel has its own restaurant. Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill is one of many restaurant’s run by celebrity chef Marco Pierre White. The restaurant has a very meat-focused menu of modern British and French-style food.
