Hull Paragon Interchange is an integrated bus, coach and railway station which is conveniently located in the centre of Hull. It is also next door to a huge 24-hour Tesco Extra supermarket and St Stephen’s shopping centre.
The station was recently redeveloped in 2007 and has all the amenities you would expect from a major city centre station.
Hull Paragon Interchange railway station
The station is served by four different railway companies: Hull Trains, LNER, Northern and TransPennine Express and there are direct services from here to Doncaster, Leeds, London King’s Cross, Manchester Piccadilly, Scarborough and Sheffield.
From Hull, there are two trains per hour to Beverley, Bridlington and Doncaster and hourly trains to Leeds, Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield. There are also eight trains per day to London King’s Cross.
Hull Paragon Interchange bus and coach station
The bus and coach station in the Hull Paragon Interchange complex has 38 bus bays and four coach bays and handles local and regional buses as well as long-distance coaches operated by Megabus and National Express.
Both Megabus and National Express coaches connect Hull with destinations throughout the United Kingdom. Of these two operators, National Express has the most extensive network while Megabus services consist primarily of the Megabusplus service to East Midlands Parkway via Scunthorpe with onward connections by train to London (included in your ticket price).
National Express coach services from Hull include direct services to Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Doncaster, Gloucester, Leicester, Lincoln, London, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Peterborough, Scarborough, Scunthorpe and Swansea.
Local bus services to destinations in East Riding of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire also depart from Hull Paragon Interchange. Both East Yorkshire Motor Services and Stagecoach operate bus services in East Riding of Yorkshire and Stagecoach also run local buses to North Lincolnshire. There are also some local bus services that go as far afield as North and West Yorkshire.
Some of the more useful regional bus routes include Stagecoach’s Humber Flyer to Cleethorpes via Barton-upon-Humber, Humberside Airport and Grimsby and the Humber FastCat 350 to Scunthorpe via Barton-upon-Humber.
