Jurys Inn London Croydon

The Jurys Inn London Croydon hotel is a good value hotel in the centre of Croydon in London’s southern suburbs. It is a popular accommodation option for business travellers.

The Jurys Inn London Croydon hotel is located in Croydon town centre in London’s southern suburbs. Although the location isn’t particularly attractive, the hotel is much cheaper than what you would pay to stay somewhere similar in the city centre and transport connections from Croydon into Central London are excellent with trains leaving every couple of minutes and a journey time into either London Bridge or Victoria of just 16 or 17 minutes. Jurys Inn Croydon is a large 12-storey hotel with 240 guest rooms. The spacious rooms are air-conditioned and have comfortable beds, a flat screen television, a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are also available.

The hotel offers a high standard of accommodation for the price but the atmosphere is fairly bland and it lacks the charm of some more centrally-located hotels. However, it is better than most other three star hotels in the London area and its location away from the centre means that it can often be a very good value place to stay. Considering that a hotel of this standard can easily cost an extra £100 if you were staying in central London, it is well worth taking the 17-minute train trip into town.

The hotel has a restaurant, a bar/lounge and a branch of Costa coffee. However, there are plenty of other places to eat and drink nearby for those people who don’t like eating in hotel restaurants. Room service is available 24 hours, although there is a more limited room service menu between 10pm and 6am.

Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel.

The hotel is in Croydon town centre around midway between East Croydon and West Croydon railway stations. Of these two stations, East Croydon has more trains with train services into central London running every couple of minutes and also direct trains to Brighton and Gatwick Airport. It is only a two-minute walk to East Croydon station (it is quickest to walk down Lansdowne Road and Caithness Walk and enter through the station’s rear entrance).

Although the Croydon location is not particularly attractive, it is convenient with a big shopping centre across the road and lots of places to eat and drink nearby including Boxpark Croydon (a trendy food court made up of food stalls set up inside shipping containers) which is only a five-minute walk away. Even though it is located way out in zone five far from the centre of London, transport connections are excellent and you can be in either central London or Gatwick Airport in just over 15 minutes.
