The Lambretta Scooter Museum has an impressive collection of Lambretta scooters and related memorabilia and a visit is a must for any scooter enthusiast.
What to see at the Lambretta Scooter Museum
The museum is home to a private collection of 61 Lambretta scooters including at least one scooter from each year between 1947 and 1971.
The owner is very enthusiastic about his collection and is able to answer any questions about any item in the museum.
Visiting the Lambretta Scooter Museum
The Lambretta Scooter Museum is on a residential street not far from the eastern edge of the town centre. It is an eight-minute walk from either the Grand Pier or the railway station.
The museum is usually open Monday to Saturday; however, the museum is sometimes closed if the owners have other commitments so it is best to phone ahead if you’re planning a trip to Weston-super-Mare especially to visit the museum.
Admission is free of charge, although they appreciate donations (or at least buying something from their shop).
The museum is attached to a shop that sells scooter parts and memorabilia and it is a great place to buy unique Lambretta (and Vespa) merchandise including badges, patches, stickers and keyrings.
It is a relatively small museum and it shouldn’t take longer than an hour to see.
