Manchester’s neo-gothic town hall is one of the city’s more iconic buildings and its 85 m (280 ft)-high clock tower is Manchester’s sixth-tallest building.

The interior of the Grade I-listed gothic revival building has ornate mosaic floors and the town hall’s Great Hall features the Manchester Murals, a series of 12 paintings by Ford Madox Brown on the city’s history.

Unfortunately, the town hall is closed to the public during a six-year refurbishment programme that is not expected to be complete until early 2024.
