The Market House Inn is a centrally-located hotel on Magdalene Street in Glastonbury, which offers basic accommodation with a convenient location in the town centre.
It is a small hotel with accommodation in six rooms, which all have a flat-screen television and tea and coffee making facilities. Five of the rooms have en suite bathrooms but one of the rooms has a separate bathroom outside the room.
The accommodation is on the first floor above a pub, which is said to serve excellent food.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in the hotel.
The standard of accommodation is very basic and the furnishings and decor are a bit rough around the edges, although the furnishings in some rooms are better than others. The location is great and it’s OK if you have low standards and are simply looking for somewhere to stay for the night.
The hotel has a central location across the road from the town hall in the centre of Glastonbury. From here, it is only a one-minute walk to the entrance to Glastonbury Abbey, a two-minute walk to St Margaret’s Chapel and the Glastonbury Tribunal and it’s a 10-minute walk to the Somerset Rural Life Museum. The central location means that there are plenty of places to eat, drink and shop right on your doorstep.
