The hotel is located in a modern dockside building that is also shared with the adjacent ibis hotel.

All the hotel’s 257 rooms have comfortable beds, a sofa, a work desk, a flat-screen television, a small fridge/minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Rooms at this hotel are relatively spacious at 25m² (269 sq ft).

The hotel’s Upper Deck restaurant has an international menu served in space with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the waterfront. The hotel also has a lounge bar that is a great spot for a drink or two.

All guests also have access to the hotel’s fitness centre.

The hotel has a nice waterfront location less than a five-minute walk to the ExCeL exhibition centre and it is also reasonably close to the Royal Docks terminus of the Emirates Air Line cable car, which is only a four-minute walk away.

It is part of the cluster of hotels at the western side of ExCeL, which also includes a Crowne Plaza, the Good Hotel, an ibis and the Sunborn London. Although there are a lot of other hotels in the area, the immediate neighbourhood has more local character than the area on the other side of ExCeL and there are also modern blocks of flats and local shops and restaurants nearby.

It is around midway between Royal Victoria and Custom House stations, although Royal Victoria is slightly closer to the hotel. From Royal Victoria, it is a 16-minute DLR ride into The City with trains running every eight minutes or you can catch the Elizabeth line from Custom House, which will get you to Liverpool Street in The City in 11 minutes and Tottenham Court Road in 16 minutes with trains running every five minutes.
