The Premier Inn Bridgwater Gateway (M5, J24) hotel is a modern hotel offering a high standard of accommodation at a reasonable price; however, the location on the outskirts of Bridgwater means that it is best suited if you’re driving.
Rooms at the Premier Inn Bridgwater Gateway (M5, J24) hotel are a mix of double, twin and family rooms. Rooms feature a king-size Hypnos bed and a comfortable chair, a writing desk, a flat-screen television, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Some of the double rooms are wheelchair accessible.
All rooms have free Wi-Fi wireless internet access (up to 1GB per day).
The hotel also features the Thyme Bar & Grill, which has an international menu with mostly casual options. The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner.
Like other hotels in the Premier Inn chain, this hotel is clean and well maintained offering a great value accommodation option but it is somewhat lacking in character.
The hotel is located on the A38 (Taunton Road) on the southern outskirts of Bridgwater not far from the Huntworth Interchange (junction 24) of the M5 motorway.
The area around the hotel is not particularly charming and it is characterised by car dealerships, warehouses and light industry. However, there is a pub (the White Willow) across the road and a branch of Costa Coffee is located nearby.
It is a three-minute walk from a bus stop where you can catch bus routes 21 and 21A into Bridgwater town centre, although the hotel’s location means that it is best suited if you’re driving.
Premier Inn is the largest hotel chain in the United Kingdom and it usually scores very high on customer surveys when compared to other UK hotel chains. It operates at the budget end of the market and provides a reasonably high standard of accommodation for the price, and is comparable to ibis and Travelodge hotels.
