Rooms at the Premier Inn Gillingham Business Park hotel are a mix of double, twin and family rooms. Rooms feature a king-size Hypnos bed and a comfortable chair, a writing desk, a flat-screen television, tea and coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom. Some of the double rooms are wheelchair accessible.

The hotel also features the Honourable Pilot, a family-friendly pub that is part of Whitbread’s Cookhouse+Pub chain. You can start your day with a buffet breakfast and finish up with a pint and something from the pub-style menu.

Like other hotels in the Premier Inn chain, this hotel is clean and well-maintained offering a great value accommodation option but it is somewhat lacking in character.

It is on Sovereign Boulevard (the A2) around 3.2km (2 miles) from the centre of Chatham, 5.5km (3½ miles) from the centre of Rochester and 5km (3 miles) from the Chatham Historic Dockyard. The location, and free parking, make this a practical option if you’re driving, although local buses run past the hotel so it is also possible (but it’s not ideal) to stay here if you’re relying on public transport.

Premier Inn is the largest hotel chain in the United Kingdom and it usually scores very high on customer surveys when compared to other UK hotel chains. It operates at the budget end of the market and provides a reasonably high standard of accommodation for the price, and is comparable to ibis and Travelodge hotels.
